The Journal of Immunology Research contains an article in its June 2018 edition examining potential targeted therapies for immune regulation in obesity-related asthma. The researchers note “obesity-related asthma is poorly controlled using conventional therapies,” so “alternative and complementary therapies are urgently needed.” In the article, researchers “describe the immune regulators of lipid metabolism in obesity as well as the interplay of obesity and asthma.”
