An article in the October 2018 edition of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health investigates if the use of smartphone applications can improve adherence in asthma self-management. Researchers conducted a systematic review of articles, with eight meeting the review criteria of the study. All types of study were considered, which prevented meta-analysis of the studies.
