The January 2020 edition of The Journal of Pediatrics includes an article examining “whether a history of asthma was associated with anaphylaxis severity in children hospitalized for anaphylaxis.” The study looked at 603 children hospitalized for anaphylaxis between 2009 and 2016. The researchers found “children hospitalized for anaphylaxis with a history of asthma were not more likely to have severe anaphylactic reactions compared with children without asthma.”
