We are thrilled to announce the release of the Request for Proposals in support of asthma home visiting services in California!

The Asthma Mitigation Project — formerly called the Asthma Preventive Services Project* – will increase access to asthma home visiting services for people with poorly controlled asthma.

You can review the RFP here. Applications are due April 28th at 1:00 PM Pacific. The Center at the Sierra Health Foundation, which is administering the funding, hosted a webinar explaining the RFP on March 4th. To view the webinar recording and learn more about application resources click here.

Please note that The Center at the Sierra Health Foundation is considering application extensions on a case by case basis for those who need more time due to COVID-19. Please see The Center’s website for more information.

Funded by the state of California, the Project is a much-needed down payment for sustaining and expanding these critical services. Of course, as happy as we are with the Project, there’s more work to do, and we look forward to working with our partners throughout California to integrate them within the Medi-Cal system.

* The Project name was updated to better align with the funding appropriation from the state of California.
