Clinical Burden and Healthcare Resource Utilization of Mild Asthma

Respiratory Medicine included an article in their August – September 2022 edition that examines the clinical and healthcare resource utilization of physician-assessed mild asthma. Patients with mild asthma were included in a global, 3-year study that looked at clinical burden through physician-reported exacerbations and patient-reported measures. The study found “a significant proportion of patients with physician-assessed mild asthma had considerable clinical burden and HCRU [healthcare resource utilization]”.
