In February, 2024, the American Lung Association released a report titled, “Living and Breathing in California: Health Benefits of Clean Air Programs.” The report highlights clean air policies that are projected to deliver significant health protections, cut climate pollution, and advance the effort to deliver clean air to California’s most impacted communities. Results of the report show recently approved California clean air and zero-emission policies will provide over $200 billion in public health benefits and save over 20,000 lives.
