American Lung Association Releases “Boosting Health for Children: Benefits of Zero-Emission Transportation and Electricity” Report 

In February 2024, the American Lung Association released “Boosting Health for Children: Benefits of Zero-Emission Transporation and Electricity,” a report detailing health benefits for children associated with a transition to zero-emission vehicles. Among the findings, the transition would prevent up to 508 infant mortality cases, 2.79 million pediatric asthma attacks, 2.67 million pediatric upper respiratory symptoms, 1.87 million pediatric lower respiratory symptoms, and 147,000 pediatric acute bronchitis cases.
