Webinar Recording: Asthma Home Visiting Services for Tribal Communities

Asthma inequitably affects Tribal communities. Asthma home visiting services can help Tribes reduce asthma disparities while also addressing other challenges like poor housing quality and growing climate concerns including wildfire smoke.

On Monday, June 3, 2024, RAMP hosted a webinar for participants to learn about:

  • In-home asthma services and how they improve respiratory health
  • How different services can be built around current community programming
  • No-cost resources available to help you move forward

Speakers included:

  • Shasta Gaughen, Director, Pala Environmental Department, Pala Band of Mission Indians.
  • Shawn Blackshear, Environmental Public Health Director, Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board
  • Anne Kelsey Lamb, Director, Regional Asthma Management & Prevention
  • Joel Ervice, Associate Director, Regional Asthma Management & Prevention

Both English and Spanish versions of the webinar with closed captioning are featured below.
