Gas Stoves and Childhood Asthma in the United States 

An article in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health’s December 2022 edition examines the correlation between gas stoves and childhood asthma. Researchers found 12.7% “of current childhood asthma in the US is attributable to gas stove use.” To reach this data, population attributable fractions (PAF) were quantified for gas stove use and current childhood asthma. The researchers also found several states have an even higher rate (up to 20.1% in California).
