The Political Economy Research Institute (PERI) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst has released an interactive “Air Toxics at School” tool to help track industrial toxic air pollution at every school in the US. The tool reports toxicity-weighted concentrations of pollutants to demonstrate comparative individual chronic human health risk from toxic air pollutants at the school location. The tool allows users to look up any K-12 and higher education school and receive a report on the industrial facilities and chemicals that generate health risks. The tool also allows users to receive a report for an entire state.
