Pediatric Pulmonology includes an article in its January 2020 edition that looks at adherence to asthma medications as a key component in treating children with asthma. They suggest “multicomponent patient-centered strategies, as well as strategies that utilize technology and habit formation strategies may be helpful in improving medication adherence.” They also suggest “in some populations, alternate diagnoses, adjusting therapy, and other intervention may be required to improve asthma control and health.”
